Pregnancy & Massage

I believe massage should be mandatory for pregnant women. It has many benefits during the entire pregnancy and even after delivery. There’s many lovely things that come with pregnancy and there’s many unwanted things as well and even things we shouldn’t do. Massage is not one of them!
Most spas and big companies won’t offer massage during the first trimester, not because you can’t but because it’s a liability. There are certain areas that are not to be stimulated during pregnancy as they may induce early labor which may result in a miscarriage. Always make sure you have an experienced massage therapist. It is completely safe for massage through out your entire pregnancy!

Pregnancy can often bring on stress on the body that it’s not use to, massage can help!

  • Headaches

Massage has been also known to help breached babies turn before labor to allow natural birth. After delivering your bundle of joy, it’s so important to help your body recover from this 9 month long process! It’s recommended to have weekly massage for six weeks, this will help with regulating hormones, reduce swelling and remaining fluid, improves breast feeding abilities, reduce stress and promote relaxation. We need to be good in order to take care of our babies! Book your prenatal or postnatal massage today!
